Props to Bruce Weber (the new coach at Illinois)

According to ESPN's Andy Katz, Bruce Weber, the heir to Bill Self at Illinois, hasn't forgotten his mid-major roots. In other words, he's honoring Self's commitment to play Gonzaga this fall. Despite a brutal travel schedule (at North Carolina, Arkansas (Chicago), Memphis, and Missouri in St. Louis), Weber promises that Dee Brown's crew will also find a date and time to take on the Zags in New York.

[Were this post not placed in context, it might seem largely inconsequential. But after hearing of another early-season Kansas State blowout on the football field, I thought it timely to comment on a college basketball scheduling success.]

Here Goes Nothing...

1. I love to comment on college basketball.
2. I work for Howard Dean's presidential campaign. Dean for America has had tremendous success with our blog.
3. I just decided to purchase tickets to the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic on November 28th. Arizona vs. Florida is bound to be a dandy...

as may my blog on "all things related to college basketball." Enjoy -- and if you're interested in contributing an entry or two, please let me know!
