Miserable in Missoura

The latest from Columbia is that Quin Snyder "welcomes" an investigation into his handling of the Ricky Clemons fiasco. Yeah, right.

Then again, like Snyder, I might appreciate a heads-up on my upcoming termination!

Jim Gordon of the Santa Fe New Mexican adds a little attitude (and background):

"The investigation is based, in part, on charges by Clemons' former girlfriend that Clemons was given answers to exams and had course work done for him. Snyder, who kept Clemons in the program for months, even after the player was sentenced to jail for assaulting his girlfriend, also has the NCAA asking questions -- such as how Clemons was able to pass 24 credit hours worth of classes last summer at three different schools and who paid for those courses. The 'I welcome this investigation' line has become de rigueur for those whose ships are just about ready to go under. Didn't Kenneth Lay 'welcome' the investigation of Enron?"
